My husband is not the biological dad and wants to name the baby after him. The biological is not around. What should I do? My husband wants to please my dad all of a sudden so my husband wants to give the baby our last name as his middle name and my husband also wants his middle name as his first name and my maiden name as his last name.

That is confusing and I am not a child, I can't imagine how confused your child would be. If the biological father is not in the picture then why not have your husband adopt the child. Then what will become a father figure in the child's life will REALLY be his father. Then that also helps with the naming thing. Have the child take you and your husband's last name as his last name. Thus making you a family tied together. Then if your husband wants his middle name as part of your son's name....why not? Unless this is a name you do not like? There are many adopted children that have their adoptive parent's name or a relative of the adoptive family's name.

My mind is blank. I wish I could. The biological dad doesn't have any suggestions either. I need suggestions.
