2yr old is bouncing of the wall hyper at nap time. (And always for that matter).
I KNOW he's tired.how can I wind him down. Already stick to regular nap routine. Lunch, story time. When I out him in bed his energy increases even more!!

I know the feeling, as my exhaustion comes in stages that was one of the stages that passed and now i am dealing with night terrors. So i promise it will get better, be patient with him and yourself and things will be at ease. Your doing great:))

Hi Shelia, I have two children 4 and 2 and my 4 year old used to be exactly like your child. I found that the best way to wind her down is as your doing lunch, story time. But this is what you can try that might work. Instead of telling him or putting him in his own room, allow him to choose a room to take a nap in. Sometimes when you give him a choice he will respond better to it. Provide soothing music and lay in bed with him for a few minutes and rub his back. This will cool him off and get him ready to take a nap. If this doesn't work, just stay in bed with him and rub his back, some children may just want the assurance that their mommy is there.
