A teacher recently started working with me and a friend. She is really good friends with the director and the assistant director at our daycare and is constantly running to the them and complaining about us and what we tell her to do in our infant/toddler room. Then afterwards the director nor the assistant director have anything to say to us unless they need us to go to a different room or are going to the store. They are always playing favorites with her and it is getting really aggravating and is getting really old. What should we do?

That sounds like school yard antics, not really workplace behaviour.

Call a meeting with everyone involved and get everything out in the open. Sometimes people don't know that what they are doing is hurtful to others unless you tell them.

Don't worry I won't be the one that leaves unless this lady starts messing with my kids. And you are definitely right "THERE ISN'T ROOM IN THIS TOWN FOR THE BOTH OF US!!!!!!!"

I know that's right. Its pretty ridiculous if you ask me. I'm glad someone sees where I'm coming from.

I just don't understand why there should be "special treatments" in any workplace. If something is upsetting another worker, why wouldn't you at least take into consideration what is going on? I don't like the fact that it has to almost be taken to the higher levels (above director) before anything will actually start happening or changing!

The other bad part about the whole thing is that this teacher is also my child's teacher and treats her differently than all the others. She actually treats both of my kids differently than the others and it's really pissing me off. we have brought it to the directors attention and not only about her but others we have had problems with and she never does anything about it.
