Help! I have run out of patience! My daughter is 7 and no matter what the consequence she will not mind me. I have to repeat the same things every single day, sometimes 3 or 4 times a day (i.e. pick your shoes up, pick up your clothes, come here, etc.). It isn't until I've said it several times and get angry that she complies. I spend a lot of time with her as I am a stay at home mom and we homeschool 2 days a week. (She is in private school the other 3 days.) No discipline is working and no reward is working. She has now carried this over at school. How do I make a 7 year old understand that "what I say goes"?
