I Had my IUD removed on the 21st of this month. Does anyone have experience with getting pregnant after removal? How long did it take. My CNP was not really sure. She just told me to take a pregnancy test every month

i got my mirena taken out Nov 1 2011, a little after our first turned 2. We have been trying every month to get pregnant since then and we still haven't had any luck (only took a couple of months with our son). My cycles have been all over the map though. 30 days, 28 days, 25 days, 30 days, 26 days :(

we were hoping to get pregnant asap... didn't think it was going to take this long :(

but when i got it taken out my doctor told me to wait until i got a period and then start trying as you are able to get pregnant the first month it's removed.

Hopefully you have better luck!! good luck!

I had my mirena taken out 4 months ago. It only took 1 month to get my cyle back in line. But my doctor said that you can get pregnant the same day it is taken out. After the first cylce my cycles were exactly 28 days every month. We have not gotten pregnant yet but we have not been trying that hard yet, we were waiting to start this month for timing of delivery and my work schedule. Good Luck

because the mirena is a hormone contraception it could take up to 12 months (sorry) but saying that it could really happen anytime it all depends on your own body really

I still have mine in but my doctor told me as soon as it came out, you could get pregnant right away. In fact, she said that recently she had a patient come in and hers had come out on its own and she was pregnant. Good luck to you!

I don't have any advice since I've not used it yet. Can you tell me what you thought of the mirena? I just had a baby 6 weeks ago so I am going to get mirena since I'm not good at remembering to take pills. Thanks!

Usually, with ANY birth control, you typically need your periods to get back to normal. When that happens, your ovulation is back on track and you can start baking!
