My son had a good bed/nap routine and would soothe himself to sleep for both as well as when he would wake during the night. We spent a week in Mexico and he hardly slept or napped the whole time unless he was in our bed or arms. Now he will nap and start off in his crib at night but when he wakes up, usually after an hour, he will not go back to sleep unless he comes into bed with us. It can't be teething cause he gies back to sleep in my arms or our bed right away but if I try to put him back In his crib he just cries a terrified sounding cry. This has been going on for three weeks now. Should I continue to co-sleep? I'm hoping this is just a phase. We don't get much sleep with him in bed cause he moves around a lot and kicks and head butts us in his sleep. I'm not to keen on trying the CIO method but I don't want the co-sleeping to become a habit. Any suggestions from moms who have gone through this? Could it just be a seperation anxiety phase?
