please, what ever names you pick..think of them from your kids point of view when they grow up too...they will live in a time where things are different than ours when we were kids... I certainly would not pick a name for my child which he will not be happy about once he goes to school or when she is a gown up..do test the names' list...ask people to spell it or read it for you..it even would not harm if you can ask kids in your family about the name( they are better to detect the funny names ;) ) ...We did that with our baby..and the name turned out great for everyone...Good luck with motherhood :)
I personally like..................Kyle and Karen............................

I called my twins Jason and Jane. I think if they have different gender then they are individuals anyway. As for matching names I never get them confused Jane is Jane and Jason is Jason. If anything they like having semi-matching names.

Coming from a family of twins (18) from the grandparents down. They do not seem to mind if people know they are twins because for their names. My 19 year old boy girl twin niece and nephew call each other twiner. They are Allora and Ashton, My 9 year old niece and nephew are Allyson Joy and Tristan Job, Their parents wanted to call them AJ and TJ but NEVER have.
So names are just that, names. They will feel about their names like you do. If you hate matchy names they will too, most likely because they will hear you say it. We also have a Madylin Grace & Morgan Faith, Michael & Michele, Pam & Paul, Grace & Lauren, Jackie & Jeff, Michelle & Robert, Justin & Colby, Emilee & Kaylee, Jordan & Dillon, Shannon & Sherry, Raymond & Rachelle, Matthew & McKay, Glen & Glenda, Ella & Elsa. (a few I can't remember their names)
Without fail they are each others best friend too. My aunts Ella May and Elsa Fay even got married on the same day. Had the same sex child each time they had a baby, within weeks of each other, except one had one more then the other. They even had twins each having a boy girl set.
I agree with the person who posted ask people to spell or read the name you pick. I had a boy in my child care whose name was Brock LeRoy, his older brother called him Broccoli so be careful and have children say it. The parents changed his name legally at 8 months old to Logan LeRoy so the brother could no longer call him Broccoli.

Do not go for matchy!!! I'm with you on cute, but no James and Jane or Kim and Ken!
How about Georgia and Lydon? I don't know why I like it together. Sounds like George and London- for the new Prince George. (I'm totally joking about the connection).
Good luck! Let us know what you choose! Remember: Whatever you choose will be perfect!

Anthony Micheal and Marie Antoinette. I read someone else mention family names. That's always been big with me also. The initials are reversed, so it holds SOME twin qualities, but doesn't rhyme or match......also, these names are a combo of names from my family, lol

One option is to match legal names, but not nicknames. I know a boy/girl set named Andrew and Anna, but the boy goes by Drew. I also know girls who are Melissa (Missy) and Michelle (Shelly).
However, the best boy/girl combo I've heard is Aidan and Nadia, because they are the reverse of each other.

Don't pick matchy names. Pick the names as if they were singletons. My B/G twins are 12 now and they like when people don't know they are twins. Family names are great, it gives them a sense of identity outside of being a twin. Good luck and have fun!
