I am a stay at home new mom, my son Luciano was born June 24,2013 at 7:47 pm he weighed 7lbs 13.5ozs. He is the best thing that has ever happened to us he is a joy in our lives he makes us very happy. But now we came to a challenge he started having acid reflux which has got him screaming and crying nonstop and i need help on what i can give him at home to soothe it alittle. the DR gave him some medicine it worked for awhile and we thought it was gone so we stopped giving it to him and he was doing fine for awhile and then it came back so we started it back again but its not helping so what can i do?

hi there, my DD has this same condition. Ask your ped about upping her dose of Zantac as they can build up a tolerance to it, also there are other medications you can try under the supervision of your ped. other things that have helped me are feeding upright (i pump for my DD so upright feeding is easy), and keep him propped up for 30-45 min after feeding so that gravity helps everything settle. oh yea, i almost forgot to mention that my ped advised me to prop her up when she sleeps, i put a small pillow under her sheet and rolled up two receiving blankets and put them on either side of her as "wedges" so she couldn't accidentally roll over. i do all these things and it helps her! best of luck to you!!
