Hello! This will be my first question on Circle of Moms and looking for some good advice. My son is going to be 3 months old Jan 28 and im having trouble getting him to sleep in anything else but his swing and bouncer but we need to start weaning him off of swing sleep and into the pack n play. His dr told us it wil be better if we get him to start doing it sooner rather than later. we also take him to physical therapy because of torticollus and she said its not helping him but he will not sleep in the pack n play. we've tried pacifiers which calm him down but he wont keep it in his mouth so i have to sit there for an hour and a half and put it back in each time. we've tried swaddling which he hates. bathing him calms him down but i can't bathe him every night. ive tried nursing him to sleep and he will cry once we put him down. he seems to hate being on his back when sleeping so i asked his dr if he could have reflux but all they have told me was to just get him to sleep in the pack n play which is easier said then done and i also have my toddler daughter that keeps me running around like crazy all day so just looking for some advice and any would be appreciated and also my daughter was a great sleeper so this is new for me

I have no experience w/ that medical issue, so don't know how it impacts anything. But... my son slept upright on his belly on me while I was propped upright in the middle of the bed for 5 months before he would sleep laying next to me. He pretty much only napped in his swing or bouncer seat for 6 months. He also didn't stop nursing during the night until he was 2 years old. He's almost 8 and we're still in the same room together and I don't regret a single second of how I've done things w/ him.

Now... if his medical issue is being negatively impacted by this then I don't know... but typically there is no REAL harm in just doing whatever it takes for everyone to get some sleep. Kids grow up fast enough as it is... w/ a little encouragement they all mature at their own pace.
