My 4 year old daughter is very loud all of the time and gets very hyper she also displays signs of anger when in a temper and I am at a loss what to do with her, does anyone have any suggestions, she is dd 3 out of 4 children. In nursery I think she is ok .

This sounds like normal four-year-old behavior. My daughter is the same though she used to be much more mellow. You could look into food allergies, too. Sometimes they manifest as hyper, unfocused and overly emotional behavior. Make sure to keep her sugar intake (and carbs) in check, too!

What kind of discipline are you using with your child when she acts out like this? SHe is more than old enough to learn how to behave.

you have to take her to a child psycologist to know her mental trouble. take this issue as serious dont dely to take her for counselling.

Allowing her siblings to torment her does not help. Being a soft parent and letting things slide is not helping. I do not think counseling is needed. I think a firm hand with all the kids is needed here. I think the other kids need to know it is not nice to torment each other and start to discipline them when they do. Also change the diet. Maybe if she has less sugar and carbs, she might quiet down but she might not. A lot of 4 year old kids are loud because they are still learning to be quieter in certain situations. But she should not be allowed to continue this be it at home or outside the home. Also, she might be trying for attention too if she is not getting enough.

Thank you for your reply, to be honest she does have a high sugar and carbs intake, I don't think she needs counselling as she is not a bad girl she just gets annoyed at times when her siblings torment her, she is well behaved in nursery and with people out with the home setting I think myself and husband may have been to soft at times.
