Need help with my first newborn

Hey, my 1 month daughter cries most of the time when she is not in my arms. Her dad thinks that I am holding her to much and no one will be able to watch her because of the crying. I tried the pacifier and she does not like it. It breaks my heart to hear her cry for such a long time. It is true I get nothing done but I am thinking it will not last for long. Any help? I am a first time mom.

She's normal. What you and her dad need to remember is that she just spent 9 months (give or take a bit) snuggled up in a nice, warm, calm environment being held 24/7 and has only been in this cold, cruel world for a month.... It's an adjustment that takes time.

If you can get a sling/baby carrier that works for you then you can carry her around as much as she needs while still managing to get stuff done. She won't be this little forever. Cherish it (yes, even the crying) cuz they grow up WAY too fast.
