Felix is three years old. He is great. He has GDD and CP. He doesn't walk or talk yet. Doctors and therapists say that it is just a matter of time. I know that. Cause I live with him and see how for he has come. The problema i face today is that he believes I am his personal slave or sth. He whines a lot. When nothing is really wrong and if I don't respond to his demands, which most if the time consist of me being 24/7 near him. He starts crying and shouting. It is really exhausting.

Of course you are right! I believe I didn't express myself clearly or maybe just summarized things too much. It's not the fact that it is exhausting so much as the not knowing if I'm spoiling him terribly. He is so aware of what he does to me.And the fact that I tend to overprotect him...

I am sure it is exhausting, but try and think of how YOU would feel if you were unable to walk and talk... You would probably get pretty whiny and demanding after a while too.

Hang in there. Be patient and keep encouraging him to do anything for himself that you KNOW he can do and to keep trying to do more, but sympathize w/ his frustrations and his desire to have you close.... Even typically developing 3 year olds are demanding and clingy at times... some way more than others. If he has another form of communication other than crying and shouting... keep encouraging him to use that to get you to help him.
