Have no media on - House should be quiet in the morning and I'm sure you already have a routine. Perhaps have a small bowl of dry cheerios or other cereal and as he begins to eat them all on his own. As he eats add the yogurt or whatever. Maybe water or milk in the car.
My kids were not ever served juice. It would have raised their blood sugar with absolutely no nutrition. It would have filled them up and then brought them crashing down. They would have craved it as well. Both my kids 12 and 15 are water and milk drinkers to this day. My son will have soda now and then but it is not a big deal and not on our shopping list. My daughter doesn't even order soda. - Good Luck - L.
