Hello fellow moms!
My name is Nicole and I recently started a mommy blog myself about amusing, truthful stories of motherhood: www.themommyexperience.com

I have a 2 year old gem that is in the process of potty training. Dad and I are two full time working parents. While we're trying to potty train, we're still trying to make sleeping in his big boy bed much easier on everyone as well. I made a sticker chart for Cole and every night he will put a sticker next to the things he accomplished for the day; bath, brushing teeth, go potty, etc. At the end of the week he will get a treat. I will either take him to a new park, out for ice cream, or let him stay up a little later to hang out with mom and dad. Cole is with my in laws during the day and although I asked them to focus on potty training as well, I'm not sure if that is actually taking place while we are at work. He starts daycare on Monday and will go three times a week. I know they will focus on potty training throughout the day but it's also not their job to train my son on their own. Any easy tips you found to be helpful I would greatly appreciate!

Thanks so much!
Nicole

A lot of people leave potty training until the child can basically do it themselves. Very often, when a child is between 2.5 and 3.5 they will just give up diapers and transition to underwear over a two or three day period.

If your son is starting daycare though, I would probably start by talking to the daycare. If they have a method they use, or certain strategies they like, it would probably be best for you to be on the same page as much as possible.

Hi Chet,

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my post. My son was showing all of the signs as far as being ready for potty training, it just happened to be during the same time we had to transition to his new toddler bed. He was making a habit of jumping out of his crib and we of course didn't want him to break his neck. I definitely agree with you about everyone being on the same page. I will certainly take your suggestions into consideration.

Thanks again!
