It will come......boys tend to train later then girls. Girls generally develop their control muscles sooner then boys do. It will come :) My son was 3 1/2 yrs old when he trained, but it took 1 week and that was it. My daughter was 2 yrs and 1 month when she started but it took her 6 months to become trained. Then my other daughter was 2 1/2 yrs old and trained in about a month. I have found that sometimes the later they start the faster they get it.....not always....so be prepared, but it will come no matter how long or short it takes. Many people say not to potty train when it is close to a new baby arriving in the family as they tend to regress, but I had a friend that hers actually started to potty train and want to go once the baby arrived. She wanted to be a big girl and not the baby anymore. So you never know. One day they just decide they are going to do it and bingo they do.

He sounds like he is not ready yet. Don't push it! Leave a little potty out in the bathroom. Don't focus on the potty training right now. When he is ready he will show interest. Just leave the potty out and allow him to sit when he is ready and wants to. At first he probably will only sit to imitate not out of interest in actually going potty. That tends to be the first step. Allow him to move at his pass. Boys tend to be closer to 3 yrs old before they are ready. You will be less frustrated and the potty training process will be TONS more enjoyable and faster if you wait until they are ready.
