need to know about my babies eyesight

hey....my daughter is 10 months old...since birth she used to just stare at light's...i thought she was fascinated by light's..but when she was 9 month i went for an eye test..where the doctor told me that she has poor vision..i cconsulted my pediatrician..and he said that my daughter is completely fine...i went to another eye doctor..and he said my LO vision is less..he told me to do a follow-up after 6 months...earlier my LO used to not even make eye contact..nw she makes eye contact...a little...n plays with toys...she is very naughty.sshe is eager to get up and run...i am very confused...i donot uunderstand...any suggestions.....

But mu paediatrician checked her eyea properly...she responded very well..and there were lights in his clinic...but she didnot even look at them....before she used to just look at lights..but now she looks at objects...picks them up...she has started moving all around the house...and is learning to walk.

Starring at light is an indicator of low vision. Also, many low vision babies and toddlers appear very normal and aren't diagnosed until they are older.

General practitioners, family doctors and paediatricians don't usually have much experience with low vision. There are exceptions, but in general, I wouldn't trust the opinion of a paediatrician or GP over an eye specialist. Definitely follow up with the eye specialist in six months.
