Need to run

I have a 3 year old boy that needs a place to run. Or maybe I should say I need a place for him to run that's fenced. Too many times he's running away from me and I am not able to catch up before he is in a situation he shouldn't be in. You would laugh but running through the park the other day in our community he actually got as far as the first house in a cul de sac along side the park and rang the doorbell before I caught up. I stay close but he suddenly changes direction and off he goes. I don't believe he's trying to run away, but is just caught up with the pure joy of running! Several times he gotten to the road before me -- really scary. We've tried the really big parks as well but I do have to catch up with him at some point. We tried playing with a ball, soccer style but he isn't really interested in the ball... just the running. Any suggestions of such a place in south Chandler would be appreciated!

I do not live where you do but maybe you need to teach him to hold your hand in certain places where running off into the road or to a place in the store could become dangerous or he gets lost. Run with him. And if you can not control him now he is going to really run over you later. You need to set boundaries for him now. It sounds like you just let him go at his own leisure.
