it's been proven by blood tests twice, the first time they said sometimes it can be low and the second test is normal we won't do anything now, and then the second one came and it was low again when i asked where do we go now, oh well they said we'll just leave it she looks healthy enough that was from the first hospital, However we do travel and we are on our 2nd hospital which is better the the other one, but she had blood tests for calc, vit iron etc phoned for results was told over the phone from the secretary she will need tablets went a few weeks later to see her gastro specialest and he said nooo there fine, ehhh??? told him what i was told, so now the dietician has got involved from this second hospital see what she comes up with?it's just a guesing game all the time, But i really like the new doctor or i think i did,not so sure now, see what they have to say for themselves, he's done alot more than the other hospital and given us answers to what she has..well sort of. thank you so much for your oppionions and advise i now know i'm not on my own.

With thought to my daughter, who has been receiving excellent care, no it is not normal. As in, it is not how it is supposed to be. With regards to my son, who we have been struggling to get the level of care he needs even with known problems and a treatment protocol the doctors can't agree to follow, yes it is normal in that too many doctors don't have a clue. If you're having problems with getting the right care, you do need to find new doctors even if it means you have to travel quite a ways. In addition, you said she has low immunity. Is this proven, or is she ill often and it's based on that? If it's not proven, you must push for an Immunologist. There is better treatment available for most Immunodeficiencies.

arh thank you we've seen a dietician form her old hospital but now the dietician from the new hospital has had a look at her file that and has some concerns about my daughter and wants to see us in march. But can't be that bad if she's waiting till march, she asked me what her old dietician had done and she said is that all?? So..But Yes it is to replace milk in her diet along with help on her weight and growth...as she is on a fantastic diet of food already, also for her immune system as she has a low one, so it's also for her vitamins, poor thing we have alot to contend with don't think the docs know what they are doing sometimes? they just keep changing their minds is this normal?

It depends very much why she is still on formula at all. If it's just to replace milk in her diet due to allergies, then there really is no reason to push for more answers as she could honestly likely go to water to drink now that she's 3 and just increase her calories from food. If she is on it for allergies and lack of growth, then she should see a dietitian in addition to the doctor.

thank you Amy, we only got changed yesterday with Neocate Active, she is 3 years old and is eating a full diet, from what i gather they should have changed her onto Active when she was 1 years old, so i'm all mixed up now as it wasn't for me not asking several times if she needed another stage milk, slighlty annoyed with it all, it's been a battle with dotors for 3 years now, y do they never inform you very well. What kind of questions do i need to ask about my daughters health to get some answers?

The biggest difference I see is that Neocate Active is NOT intended to be the sole source of nutrition for any age group. Neocate LCP is. If it is her sole source of nutrition, you may want to ask about switching to Neocate Jr with Probiotics, or EO28 Splash by Neocate as an alternative.
