Nervous about another miscarriage

Hi ladies,
I had a miscarriage in June last year, I was about 6 weeks when I lost my baby. I am now 6 weeks pregnant again and have an ultrasound scheduled for a few days time. I am terrified of something going wrong again and just looking for some positive stories of reassurance.
I am very lucky to already have a healthy 2year old little girl and an amazing husband but just can't help feeling like I should brace myself for bad news.

The law of averages says your baby will be fine. A single miscarriage does not mean that there are problems - around 20% of all pregnancies end in miscarriage. It is a natural process to rid our bodies of babies that are not going to reach full term for whatever reason. Stay positive - you are likely to be fine. Having said that, I had two miscarriages before having my youngest - I was, however, an older mother, so the odds are much higher the older you are.

The only advice I can give is deep breaths and stay calm, don't bother stressing yourself out because it does put stress on the baby.
If you want to think positive look at the healthy little girl that you have now. Sometimes theres complications and thats why you miscarried and I am so sorry to hear that. Good luck!
