Ever thought of Penpalling the old fashion way? Believe me it is great reading and writing about your family and someone elses. I met my best friend through penpalling and we live 8 hours drive away from each other. We text all the time ring each other visit each other all the time. When our 2 families get together it is amazing, We have 16 children between us. Wendy drove 8 hours to see me to see if I was ok one year, I drove 8 hours to surprize her for her 30th afew years ago. We have an amazing friendship, we are always there for one another in the bad times, even if it is talking on the phone it still helps to know you have your best friend there to talk to whenever you need her. But having said that I have met some shockers aswell, their is always a bad with the good.

But if you join a mothers group (where I live in Australia, it is so hard to find a decent mothers group) go to swimming lessons, go to the park maybe it might help. Have you asked on here if anyone lives in your area and if they would like to meet up at the park?

Good luck I hope you find some friends soon.

danielle is right, find mommy play groups, or go to the local park... or if your child is old enough for any activities, even swim lessons (never too young to start, even at a year old) sign them up... you'll find mommies with kids your age

Look for mommy and baby playgroups in your area. Its a great way to meet other moms and for your child to start interacting with others, even at a very young age this will be beneficial. Once you get to know the other moms, you could plan a nice night out and the babies can stay with dad! I moved 16 hours away from my hometown just before I got pregnant and finding other moms in the area has helped me a lot. Good luck and I hope you get some much needed girl time.
