Please cancel same sex shows off of the Disney Chanel network. Cancel "Good Luck Charlie" or fire the gay actors.
The Disney Chanel Featured its first same-sex couple on the show "Good Luck Charlie." Disney announced the decision in June 2013 and came through when lesbian moms dropped off their daughter for a play date with Charlie one of the main Characters. Disney says the story line was developed to be relevant to kids and families around the world and to reflect themes of diversity and inclusiveness. Children should not be subjected to such confusion. This is sending a subliminal message to Millions of children around the world. Lesbian characters were added to an innocent sitcom that millions of young children watch everyday. If you are against Disney Chanel airing this show please sign here.

Thank you.

Tanya says: "I would prefer that my children not be subjected by what craziness the world has going on and the more I can keep it away the more I will."

That's why there's this WONDERFUL button on both your TV and TV remote that changes the channel.
I don't agree with the crazy evangelists on TV. I don't want my kids subjected to crime shows like CSI, Criminal Minds, or Law and Order. I don't want them subjected to the crap that is most reality TV, like Big Brother House or Survivor. I don't want them subjected to the (hetero) sexuality of shows like the bachelor or Jersey Shore. I don't want them subjected to the shows that aren't much more than porn, like Paradise Hotel or Temptation Island.

So you know what I do....I change the channel. If there are any shows that I disagree with, my kids simply aren't allowed to watch them.
Gay people are out there. They exist. They're not going away and there's no reason to shut them up behind closed door because their actions MIGHT offend someone.
I personally find the well dressed woman with her hair and nails just done, who's talking on her brand new iPhone, who just exited her brand new vehicle to stand in line at the food bank or the welfare line to pick up her check to be above and beyond WAY more offensive than to see a same sex couple, strolling along holding hands.

How about you do the REAL Christian (because, and forgive me if I'm wrong about this, but the sentiment remains, I assume that you're Christian) thing and teach your children to love, regardless of what you may consider as flaws, instead of fearing and hating those who have those so-called flaws. Jesus loved and cared for everyone. Even those that others reviled. Maybe you should think more about that, instead of picking little passages out the bible, a book that MAN wrote.

Are you actually joking? What you are suggesting is AGAINST THE LAW.

Why is seeing a homosexual couple 'confusing'? What subliminal messaging is it sending to children? That being in a homosexual relationship is okay, and that for a lot of people it's normal? Because it IS. Why is showing children truth bad?

I don't let my kids watch Disney Channel because I've found that a lot of their stances on things (e.g. making fun of anorexia) is actually bad for children. However, my children and my nieces all see various homosexual couples everyday. It would be more damaging for my children to not let them see this, than it is to hide homosexuality away. People are, when it comes to sexuality, what they are, and it is NORMAL.

Tanya says: "It's not fair that I cant have a say so when there's someone ignorant says I cant."

Exactly.

What gives any one group of people the right to say that 2 (or even more) consenting adults are not allowed to love each other, show affection to each other, have a relationship with each other, etc in public?
It's beyond belief for me that a couple seconds of two women dropping off their child for a play date is a corrupting issue, no matter what channel or show it's on. They aren't making out, there's no blatant sexuality, there's no nudity or profanity or anything else. Two women drop off a child. That's it.
I assumed you (and the OP) were Christian because of the stance (I have generally found those against gays, or against public displays of gay couples, to follow Christian beliefs)

Tanya says: "Let Homosexuals do what they do, and hetrosexuals do what they do."

That's what Disney is trying to do. Why is it okay to depict a heterosexual couple dropping off their child for a play date but not a homosexual couple? What if it was a single dad? Or a single mom? Or African parents with a Caucasian child? Or Caucasian parents with a dark skinned child?? What if a stay at home mom didn't think that other moms should go to work and the mother who was depicted was a working mom and the SAHM mom wanted the show banned because of that?? You'd never hear a word about it if it was, and anyone who tried to get people to sign a petition to ban a show based on that alone would get torn to pieces, called racist, sexist...probably a lot worse.

This will be my only response because I cant possibly entertain this anymore lol, To Gena and Dennika. Gena: To be exact, my gay friends do not live in my state sooo No my children do not get to see them. And I do not feel the need to display their sexual orientation to them. The particular family members also do not live in my area, but on holidays they do get to see them and love them, they have no idea that they are gay and there's no reason to tell them. My children are 9, 7, 5 if they ask then I am pretty sure I would tell them. Hope that answers your question.

Dennika: I do not know how you assume that I am a christian..by referring to reproduction? Ok one thing my children are being raised to love everyone and anyone, but that doesn't mean they have to agree with everything a human does, and I guess we cant go there about the bible, you have clearly explained yourself in that department..smh.. Anyway everyone has the right to whatever, just like how you do not want your kids watching the shows you mentioned, and to be honest I hope your children are not watching those shows because half of them are ADULT shows anyway. Gays are in the world and yes they are not going anywhere, but I do not have to agree with it, thats my right. I have straight friends that I do not agree with some things they do but it doesn't mean I do not care for them. We are all mothers, and mothers have whats called a "protection mechanism" if I feel something will hurt or steer my child in the way I feel is wrong I will protect them. It's not fair that I cant have a say so when there's someone ignorant says I cant. Let Homosexuals do what they do, and hetrosexuals do what they do. I was merely defending this mom to lay off her, sh'es just doing what she feels is right for her kid/kids and it's unacceptable for people like you or anyone else to lash out against her.

I hope you and everyone else have a nice day, :)

People who think they are opposed to this should actually watch the episode before they sign anything. The couple was hardly featured. The only assertion made by the program was that lesbian couples exist.

Some of my besties are gay. My exboyfriends brother is gay. He's the best friend over anyone else. So what if it is on tv. Next people will complain because disney made a black man or women with a white one. Get over it! There is nothing wrong with people who are gay. Disney isn't shoving it down any ones throat. So besides the series is ending.
How can two people of opposite gender can absolutely hate each other have more a right to marry then two people of the same gender that truly love and care for each other? Answer that with out saying any radical bs and I will sign the petition.

I am completely disgusted how anyone can lash out at this mom for wanting people to sign a petition. The fact of the matter is, is that Gay people do exist. They are in my family and friends, but from the beginning of time all we have known is man and woman...that's the reason we all are here reproduction. I am a mother of 3 boys. I completely do not agree with my family or my friends lifestyle and they know this, doesn't mean I HATE them nor do I dislike them, it's their choice I dislike. I would never promote hate, but just as homosexuals petition for things doesnt mean hetorosexuasl cant. I would prefer that my children not be subjected by what craziness the world has going on and the more I can keep it away the more I will. I believe this mom is not promoting hate, she just has a view like anyone else, if anything every last comment on here has promoted hate, and its disturbing.

How about this? Instead of everyone else pandering to your hatred, and your fear of diversity, YOU TURN THE DAMNED CHANNEL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, that's the solution that I've found works for me...If I don't agree with something being shown I DON'T WATCH IT. Wow...Freedom of choice is an awesome thing, don't ya think?

Face it, sweetie, homosexuals exist. You probably 'know' several but don't realize it (fortunately enough for them, if you're this hateful online, how are you towards anyone 'different' in person????????)

So, no. Not only NO, BUT HELL NO. My kids understand diversity. Then again, my kids have one homosexual uncle, and one who's investigating sexuality. Go back to your own little private corner of the world, turn off your computer, turn off your TV, and let your bigoted little self live in your own little bubble.

If you dont want your child to see it then just dont let your child watch it!Do you want to hide gay people away from your kids forever? Its a shame that some people treat gays as if they were a sickness.
So no,i wont sign the petition.

Children have less problems coping with the idea of homosexuality than many adults (as demonstrated by the bigot who started this post). My children have grown up with the full knowledge that they have a gay uncle. I promise you, they are not damaged because of it.
