So I have an almost 3 yr old and a 2 month old. My 2 month old son has recently caught what I suspect is a slight cold. He is very fussy and his little cough bothers me I feel like he is not comfortable at all. I breast feed and ive heard that feeding him more frequently will help him get better. But I just don't feel right allowing him to feel bad without helping him get better. My daughter had a very low immune system so I'm just hoping my son is not the same way as she was.
Sorry for all the extra my main question is if there is any ways that I could help y son feel at ease?

Thank you very much as this is helpful and heat easing. I did take him to the Dr and the Dr says everything looks perfectly fine and all I need to do is keep doing what I am doing which is breastfeeding and nose suctioning. Although I already knew to do this any other helpful advice is greatly appreciated to help the suffering of this cold and ease baby up a bit until he gets through this. So again thank you and God Bless.

First of all, I'd like to tell you how great it is that you are breastfeeding your baby. Just by breastfeeding your 2 month old son, you are providing him with antibodies which help improve his immune system. :)

I think that if you are concerned about his cough, you may want to call and schedule a doctor's appointment. The doctor can listen and be able to tell you if it's as serious as you may think.

Otherwise, in my personal experience, keeping the house temperature at 72-74 (warm) helped with the coughing along with having the baby lay slightly elevated as opposed to flat on the bed (for example - bouncer instead of crib). It's also important to take care of yourself as well.

Hope the little one feels better!
