I have a beautiful daughter who moved out to Portland Oregon. She is married and is expecting in November. This is our first grandchild and I'm really having a hard time accepting the fact they moved so far from us. We are on the east coast and my husband and I feel pushed away and not terribly important in their lives. Our relationship with them is good but this feels like a betrayal and it is very hurtful. I guess we just have to adjust the best we can with Skype and all the other gadgets out there.
Also should mention his family is in Portland too. Any suggestions on how to stop these yukky feelings?
