New Mom... Cradle Cap??
Sarah - posted on 03/06/2015
Cradle cap is yellow crusty buildup on the scalp and even the eyebrows of babies. You can rub some baby oil or mineral oil into the crusty parts and then use a fine tooth comb to gently lift the crusty stuff off and out of whatever hair baby has at this age. Then shampoo the oil out of the hair. You can palm or coconut oil as well, but those both need to be melted so be super careful that it is not hot when you rub it into baby's hair. To prevent it from coming back, use a soft bristle brush on your baby's head a few times every single day. Even if baby is bald, using the brush will help prevent the cradle cap from building up again.
