Hi everyone I am a new mom with so many questions. My baby is 2 mths old & out of the hosptial she came home on Similac Advance but it seemed to hard on her stomach because her stomach was running off as well as you could hear it churning. So the Dr put her on Similac Soy well that seemed to be doing okay for a while until she started getting constipated & gassy so now he switched her to Similac Alimentum which is so expensive & she is still gassy & spitting up but not constipated. He also said he thinks she has acid reflux so she has to take medicine for that once in am & once in the pm. I am currently using Dr. Brown bottles but also have tired Avent not really sure which ones do better because she is still so gassy. My question is I was thinking of trying the Enfamil Gentlease & still giving her the medicine for the acid reflux also maybe trying another bottle or should I stay on the Avent or Dr. Brown? At this point I'm so confused on which way to turn that's why I'm praying someone can help me by giving me some advise. Thanks so much!

Thanks so much for the helpful information. I think were going to try the Gentlease formula because today she has been so fussy & a little gassy. It's all so overwhelming & I'm just praying that we find the solution very soon.

Whatever you do, make only 1 change at a time. That will help you figured out what made the difference. For example, if she improves after you changed bottles and formula at the same time, ..was it the bottle or was it the formula? If she's not constipated, I guess I'd try some different bottles first. That's less expensive than buying lots of different formula and letting 1/2 the can go to waste. I had good luck w/ Avent bottles. If her tummy still seems upset, maybe then try the Gentlease.

Hi Sherri,

My son also had the reflux prob and also used to get a bit gassy. We also used the Avent bottles but changed to Tommee Tippee. My son is now a year and 4 months old and we still use the sippy cups of Tommee Tippee. We found them to cause less air.
