Hi ladies ,
Im new here. I delivered my baby 7 weeks ago and was pretty far from what i imagined. Went into labor at work, delivered at a different hospital, different dr. I was 36 weeks and baby had trouble breathing on his own. He was transferred to a different hospital nicu. I didnt get to hold him for 6 days. I also had a bad epidural with a spinal headache and 2 blood patches.

So here i am suffering PPA. It was bad, then got better after i started taking all natural supplements..and here i am since saturday with terrible insomnia. The only way i can sleep is if i take1- 1.5mg xanax. I Go to a therapist weekly which helps, and i just started viibryd a new ssri. I tried zoloft with bad side effects and lexapro which wasnt terrible but i had to stop it made me feel very wierd, viibryd i jave no side effects with it. And today will be day 3.

Since last friday i have been terrible sleepless nights. Not bc of baby just my body will not let me sleep.
Have you ladies experienced this? Will the meds eventually help? What did you do to help sleep? Im afraid to constantantly take something. Please tell me tbis will pass. I need encouragement!

it is very tough being a new mom let alone having some complications. i never experienced that but i will say stay confident and stay strong. it will probably take a couple weeks for the medicine to take to your system. give it time. i know it stinks to hear the word time but stay strong and do things you enjoy. make time for yourself. you cant forget about mom cuz the more you are stressed the more frustrated you are and
that just makes things worse. if you feel good its makes a world of difference.
