Im a new mother and also new to the Com. I've been going through a lot mentally and physically and sometimes i feel extremely alone. I'm used to being out at work and interacting with people a lot as i'm a teacher and now the only company i have is my 2month old son. My boyfriend has been distant, he would help out but i dont think its enough (some say he hasnt found his balance yet, i dont know) and my friends are busy with work so i dont see them as often. How does one deal with all the changes as im not sure im coping well

It's always a major shock having your first child. Nothing can prepare you for the change. It is the biggest change you will probably ever have in your life and it's normal to get a bit depressed and alone. I felt it myself and I also remember my sister crying and crying the first few months. But I promise that life will change. When your baby gets to about 6 months they become a lot more interactive and you can take them out a lot more and you will start meeting other mothers in the same situation, so do not lose hope.
My husband was also quite distant from me at first. You are forming a new bond with your baby and a lot of men feel left out at this point. It's normal and it will change. That baby needs you more than anything and without you it cannot do anything, so it is normal to feel overwhelmed. I promise it will change. Just hang in there.
