Hi, My name is Tina and I am a mom of two girls, ages 7 and 14. So, of course, there is always a lot of drama in our house. I am very busy with several houses that I clean, trying to run my own mobile nail salon business and I also home school my oldest. Right now my biggest struggle is trying to get my teenager to stop the negative words/actions. I know this is probably normal for a teen but I see other parents at church and their kids don't act like this. What am I doing wrong? I try to model positive behavior but she seems to emulate what her friends do and say. When I try to keep her from them she gets worse. I am also looking for a group in my community to join, that would help me and my oldest with homeschool and/or positive activities for her.

The key is the words "friends. Tell (or rather make) her lose them and you'll see a difference. I actually have to keep my daughter away from her cousins for that reason. Good luck to you.
