My fiance, 8-year old daughter and I moved here to Perth about 2 months ago. I have to say, I feel at home here already. The problem is, we're on a 456 visa and when we arrived here I was already pregnant and our medical insurance won't cover this pregnancy because of the 12-month waiting period.
I was wondering if anyone can give me answers as to what we should do as we've been told we'll end up paying $25,000 for doctor's appointments and the delivery. Now that's a LOT of money.
Can anybody tell me how to make this experience less about worrying about the cash and more about having another baby?
My fiance, who I am marrying on Sunday :), is from the UK. I'm from the Philippines.
I hope somebody can help as we've tried to get answers from the internet and found nothing useful and called up practices and were told they won't take us because we have no private healthcare to cover this pregnancy.
