Newly pregnant and scared!!

I just found out yesterday that I'm five weeks pregnant. My boyfriend and I both immediately jumped to abortion. And then I changes my mind.

So we're keeping it, and excited and terrified.

I'm 24 and he's 22 and we're both scared. I've got a job and he was thinking about becoming a full time student. He changed his mind and will start looking for a job tomorrow. In the mean time I don't even know where to start. What should I do? Should I tell my mom, even though she lives states away and might shame me? How does he tell his dad who he lives with? His family is Italian so I expext yelling.

I live with my friends mother as a roommate and I know I'll have to get housing because of how she is. But I don't regret my decision so any tips or advice helps. I'm eager to get started preparing.

I know the feeling, i fell pregnant whilst engaged at the age of 21 and my husband now was 24. Both me and my fiances parents didnt take it too well and now they love my 8 month old to bits. For starter you guys made the right decision not to abort. And the changes you guys are about to make is a good start. It is best to tell both sides parents now than later. Waiting it out makes it worse. Yes you will have yelling but believe me as soon as you start showing or the first baby clothes are bought everything will be forgotten. It wont be easy but you need to just pull through. The most important thing now is to look at your health. Get rid of bad habits and start eating healthy. Dont get your stress levels up as it effects your baby as early as in now. Mostly... you are blessed with the gift of life! Treasure it! It is not going to be easy, trust me... But so worth it! Your pregnancy will be what you make of it. Pull yourself together and stand up. What other people think doesnt matter. Just keep calm and take things one day at a time.
