nice birth experience

My daughter just had her second child not a week ago. She went into labor early that morning and by afternoon she was having good contractions. She did breathing exercises. All through it she did not once have pain meds at all. She worked herself through the contractions one at a time and then was able to breath free for a few minutes until the next contraction. SHe did have to have some Petocin later and that is a hormone they give to make the contractions work better or to induce labor with. Again after she got that she did not use pain meds. She gave birth a few hours later to a healthy baby. Like the others said, be open minded about it. Ask questions. Ask for the pain meds if you want them. There are other options they might give you. No one will look down on you for using pain meds or other things to make it a bit easier for you. And also not all stories are horror ones. The last thing I am going to say about my daughter is that when she pushed out her daughter she smiled. She smiled when she had her contractions with her son.

I agree that it's easier if you go into the delivery room with an open mind. Don't listen to the horror stories people try to scare you with if you want a natural birth that's great but if you decide you want pain meds be sure to ask for it and don't feel bad about it.

I have had 3 children, all natural and without drugs. Your body is made to give birth and I suggest that you go into the delivery room with an open mind.
Every birth is different and what works for 1 person doesn't work for another. Make sure that if you want to have pain relief, you ask for it.

Hi dr,I'm 25 yrs old and i have given birth to my first baby last month, what i will tell you is that you dont have to be afraid because when the moment come you will have to give birth you will have no other choice so all these stress and fears will go away and everything will be easy because you are impatient of holding this little one in your arms. The joy of having your baby with you will be more than your fear.Everything will be alright...
