Hello mama's,

My 5 (almost 6 ) month old used to sleep throughout the night. He now wakes twice a night, every night. It seems to be around the same times. He is teething.. he has one little bud that hasn't poked through yet. We've tried pretty much everything to get him back to sleep but the only thing that puts him to sleep is the bottle. This morning he woke at 4:30 am and wouldn't go back to sleep. We are using camilia and children's tylenol when needed. My question is, I'm not sure if it's the teething that is waking him up? I've also heard of sleep regression, and growth spurts around this age. Please tell me this won't last forever :'( this morning I put my cereal bowl underneath my keurig machine. Yeah, that's my current state of mind

Love, one sleep deprived mama

Thanks! He takes cat naps during the day and it takes me awhile to fall asleep so I don't really nap during the day. Guess I'll stick to coffee lol

I agree, try to get a nap when you can and hopefully he will settle back into routine. My kids didn't really struggle with teething pain, but they did get up during the night. It can make you feel like you are losing your mind! I promise it won't last forever.

Aw... I'm sorry you're so tired!

Yes, it's normal. Some kids do sleep through the night fairly young and keep sleeping through the night. Some go back and forth between sleeping through and night waking. And some kids don't sleep through the night at all... for years. All perfectly normal. Hang in there!
