I forgot Tea tree oil, but it is very effective for this type of infection.

Try Tea Tree oil. It is natural, and very good. It is an anti-fungal and anti-bacterial. But yeah sounds like he keeps getting reinfected. It won't matter if you get rid of it on him if he is coming in contact from another source.

Something that he's interacting with is re-infecting him.

Tinactin works well as an OTC treatment, but other than that, he's got to quit playing with whatever is infecting him. could be an animal, could be something that he's found outdoors.

But, continued contact will continue to have the effect of infecting him each time.

Tinactin (hopefully i'm spelling it right) is a salve used for fungal infections. Its commonly recommended for Athlete's foot. My gran (RIP, bless her) was a pediatric nurse, and said they used tinactin for fungal infections before it was an OTC medication.

So, in the pharmacy area, look for antifungals, or athlete's foot treatments, and tinactin should be there (if you're in the US, that is...for Canada and elsewhere, I'm not sure...)

And, keep an eye on him. You may find the source quickly, but if not, it's likely something that he's interacting with outside of your home. Good luck!
