My 9 year old daughter happen to catch a sceen of a scary movie, "Bloody Mary". Her father was watching it during the day. That night and the following night she would not go to sleep in her room. Both nights she has had us up until 4:00 in the morning. We let her know that nothing is going to hurt her. We would never let anyone or anything hurt her ever!! It is to the point that she is over exhausted but just wont sleep. Does anyone have any suggestions?

LOL...not that I'm laughing at you...but mine was "Poltergeist" and I was her same age! And it took me a few years before I'd sleep in "my" room at my gran's house, because it had the same creepy looking tree outside the window!

Ok, really, all you can do is keep soothing. Is it possible to let her fall asleep in a common area of the house (family room, rec room, etc) and then artfully move her to her bed? Have you tried keeping the light on, perhaps getting the monitors out and putting in her room with her so she 'knows' that you can hear everything in the room, and will magically appear when the monster shows up?

All I can say is good luck!
