I need help in determining a nipple flow size for my baby. This is my first child so I am really at a loss for everything baby related it seems lol. She is 9 weeks old and it takes her close to an hour to feed at almost everyone of her feedings. She will eat the first two oz within 10 mins but the last 2 oz in the bottle she will take a lot of breaks and will ending up taking an hour total. Sometimes she will wail and put her head far back refusing to eat. Other times she ends up inverting the nipple. I don't really want to force the bottle on her when she doesn't want to eat. So I bought some stage 2 nipples Tommie tippee brand hopping that would help but she seems to do the same thing except inverting the nipples but ends up wearing more of the milk. Do I need to stick with the stage two nipples for her to get use to the heavier flow or should I keep her on the stage ones? Thank you everyone who reading my post. And thank you for the ones who respond as well.

And yes Michelle is right on....smaller feedings more frequently.

Stage 2 flow is way to fast. It can cause choking. She might just be done with the amount you are giving her and is sucking to self sooth. Maybe try a binky when she seems to be done eating.

I would stay with the stage 1 at this age. Maybe she's just full and doesn't want any more. Just because it's the recommended amount, not all babies are the same and some don't need as much. She may need smaller feeds more often instead.
