I am a 34 yr old sexual abuse survivor trying to get help for my 6 yr old daughter, who has also been violated (@age 4). I have screamed at authorities from the tree tops about what happened to my child .. I have begged for therapy for her and my family. And now, 2 yrs later finally someone is willing to help...but two yrs is a long time. A lot of her memories have dwindled. They question her and bring them to the surface, and won't give me the tools needed to help her. I don't know how to guide my precious one. And I fear the help may have come too late. I have caught her acting out innapropriatly with her 5 yr old autistic brother... Any advice? O am so lost, and scared for my children...sincerely, desperately seeking guidance!

I am very sorry for what has happened to you and your poor daughter. My advice, which may not be very helpful, is this: Have a talk with her about the past being in the past. That you wont let anything like that happen again. Let her know that her brother should not be involved with this and that it is not polite. Don't punish her for it, just take her out to ice-cream or something so you can talk alone, in private. Just approach to her carefully. Make sure that she knows that it is not right. I hope that this has been at least a little helpful. :)
