Motherhood and old navy are great places. And try Kohl's, a lot of people don't know it, but they have pretty good stuff. Unless this is the only baby, you should invest a little in the clothes because my stuff from these stores took me through three pregnancies in a row. But, I suggest maternity clothes because they are made to help you feel more comfortable than regular clothes... big in the right places and normal in the rest lol. Have fun shopping!

I was borderline XL and 1X when prego so did a lot of shopping at Motherhood Maternity. They have great stretch jeans. I also ordered a lot of clothes online from Old Navy since they had a better selection. They were one of the few places I could find maternity shorts (SOOO nice in the summer time when 9 months prego!). Baby Gap also has a few things in the back of the store if you are not plus size, and Macy's (original not Hechts converted) has a decent selection with a lot of things on sale. You could also try eBay. I know lots of friends who sold bag loads of stuff for cheap. Good luck!
Honestly, I was rummaging through the plus size racks at Walmart!! And i hit some clearance racks at Additionelle, Penningtons and plus size clothes at reitman's. I mean yes the plus size clothes don't fit like actual maternity clothing, but i wasn't about to go to thyme and pay way too much!! And plus size clothes were nice and long to cover my baby bump ( i was huge by the end and looked like i was carrying twins!! Another good place i found which was decently priced but sometimes selection is a little off on a bad day, is Motherhood Maternity. And if you're pretty sure about your sizing, you can order on line. They've got sales all the time. It's great for simple maternity ts, basics like black pants, jeans etc...

I love motherhood, especially their pants that had the stretchy fully belly. That was the only style of pants I could wear through the whole pregnancy.
I also ended up buying a few larger men shirts from thrift shops to wear around the house and even when I went shopping the last week of my pregnancy. They seemed to be the only shirts that my belly wouldn't be exposed in.

you outta check out some thrift stores in your area! lots of children consignment shops sell maternity clothes too! it doesnt even have to be "maternity". I wore lots of dresses and shirts that had a wide v-shape around the belly and they fit perfectly! jerzee shirts are very stretchy too!

I also shopped at Old Navy and Target.....but towards the end of my pregnancy almost all of my clothes were too small....i had a couple shirts and one pair of jeans that still fit but when at home i would just wear sweatpants a t-shirts.....but that was only like the last 2 or 3 weeks....good luck
I would fine a good second hand store. Old Navy clothes are great too. If you need plus size clothes, though, you won't find them in most stores, they keep putting them solely online, except for Motherhood Maternity. I suggest plain yoga pants for recreation. you'll still be able to wear them after! But maternity shirts are a must, as others will become too short.

Motherhood is an awesome store! I fell in love with that place while being pregnant. I would get so mad because Wal-Mart, Target, Kohls, everywhere I went it seemed they didn't realize big girls get pregnant too lol. So a friend of mine referred me to that store and I loved it! Should check it online as well. Good luck =)

I agree with Sharon on the thrift stores. I also like the clothes at Old Navy. Where I am at, we have Motherhood Maternity, and they continually have sales, I love them!
I was all baby and only in the front, so clothes fit kinda weird, but up until I had my son, I either wore scrubs (worked in a doctor's office), or my Motherhood Maternity clothes. Sorry if I sound like I am pushing that store, but I loved them!
Good luck! :)
