No mother is selfish

I lost my daughter during cardiac surgery at 10 days old in 2000. We as parents are not suppose to leave this world before our children. It's just not the way life is suppose to work. But it does.... Does it make you/us guilty for wanting them back? Absolutely not! I bet if you asked every parent that lost a child they probably would tell you "if I only had one more day, one more opportunity to see them" they would. Who wouldn't. I used to be afraid of dying. However, now I'm only afraid of what I'm leaving behind. Because I know when my day has come I will reunite with my sweet baby girl again. I know our children are watching over us. I know they want us to know they are ok now and they would want us to move forward but never forget. To me it's never goodbye but "until we meet again" I wish every parent peace, understanding and closure to the loss of your child. I can only tell you that in time our hearts get stronger. We learn to cope but we never ever forget and no one can ever take our memories away. Much love from me and my lil' angel to you and yours 👼
