Well I never had time for anything after labor started :P With my first 2, I had my grandparents come and pick me up and drive me to the hospital. But with my third, I was on my own. The two rides that I HAD scheduled actually showed up within minutes...AFTER i had given birth XD I called a taxi and actually made it to the hospital :P

Oooh...LOL...Ladies, the 'off topic' police just reported you!

Katrina, I certainly hope that your labour goes well and progresses nicely. I'm removing the flag. While the topic wasn't exactly followed, it was related.

Gena, hubby and I went prowling in a book shop - nothing exciting at all!! We can spend hours in book shops :P

I wasn't really up for clothes shopping. We did have a look in a baby shop, but we didn't really need anything else and we had no idea of the sex of the baby, so we just browsed - hubby ended up back there the next morning because it turned out we needed a whole heap of 00000 clothes, which I had not invested in.

LOL Jodi...only reason I wouldn't have was due to distance...somehow, a 15 mile trek whilst breathing through contractions was not my idea of fun...Although I think I may have done at least 7 or 8 miles doing laps on the OB floor!

Ambulance or taxi.

LOL Shawnn, I was admitted to hospital in labour with my daughter and even though I was clearly in labour and dilating, I was then permitted to walk to the shops to do some shopping for a while before coming back to the delivery suite. I just stopped every 5 or 6 minutes to breathe through my contraction and then kept going ;) So walking wouldn't have been an issue for me if the hospital was close by!!!

Taxi, ambulance service, neighbor, friend, parent, roommate...

Some even walk or take public transport. Not that I'd have done that...LOL
