My thirteen month old daughter is the biggest DIVA! Everytime she is redirected for doing something she isn't supposed to be doing she screams like crazy. I can't walk away and have a moment to my self without her throwing a huge tantrum. Is there anyway for me to curb this behavior? I'm worried it will translate through the rest of her life!!!

My little guy is going through this too... I also have a Sweet little lady who is yet a DIVA too she is almost 5 lol.. and I have a wonderful yet mouthy 6 year old.. I know this stage won't last long but long enough I feel crazy.. I just keep redirecting him and explaining to him that mommy need to go potty { which I never get to go alone} he will start with the little lip out and I will then take and give him one of his riding toys.. which keeps him busy along enough for my to have a potty break and unload the dishwasher.. I remember when my older 2 were this age my oldest had stopped just in time for my middle to start I thought I would go nuts and be bald.. LOL.. However it lasted all of 3 to 4 months.. the older 2 went through it and being clingy when family or friends would stop and now my youngest is doing the same thing.. They are find their voice as far as the Tantrums go. that is their way of saying I want something but am not able to tell or show you exactly what I want... Every one things I am crazy because I am enjoying everything this time around, It goes so fast and in the blink of an eye they are off to school :( I have been using something new as far as the redirect method as I will sit and play for a short time with him till he is really in to playing with whatever he is playing then I am able to get up and do things that need to be done.. Keep up the good work mom, you are showing and teaching her what is ok and what will hurt her.. She will catch on very soon...
Hope this is a little helpful, Take Care and Best Wishes...
