Is it normal for dads to be involved but not as nearly involved as moms.

It depends on the person. My husband has always been highly involved with our daughter, but my ex, on the other hand, had very little to do with the day to day raising of our son (both as an infant and now as an older teen). I guess it depends on what you mean by "involved". But it is totally normal for a dad to be involved.

That's why her question seems so open ended, because I'm not sure what she means by "involved".

I agree Jodi. But I also think that involvement could come on any level or all levels. Does not have to be just raising the kids and doing daily care of kids. It could mean taking time to be with them and helping them too. Spending quality time in an interest to the kid. It depends on the parents too. Some parents are more involved than others but that does not mean they love or care less for their kids. I am majorly involved with my two kids. Have always been available to them. I have made our time quality time when we did things together as well as fun it was educational. I tried to find interests we could develop together. I think it depends on the person to end this post. But I do know of some parents that are not that involved at all with the kids and use them to make themselves look good as a parent for mostly bragging rights while the other parent puts blood, sweat, and tears into their kids.
