my 10 month old is still not crawling, maybe she will just go straight to walking? do I need to be concerned she is not crawling? I heard if she skips the crawling stage it's bad for her?

she just started rolling back n forth this week, and just now likes to sleep on her tummy. she can sit up by herself without any problems.

Kati my daughter just turned one and just started rolling over, she absolutely hated tummy time so until 2 weeks ago she had no desire to be on it, now she sleeps on it and that's how she gets herself to sitting position, so she can pull herself up. I understand what you're trying to say, and we asked at every well visit check and the doctor told us not to worry she had her own unique mode of transportation. If she was my first I probably would of been more concerned but she's not, all babies are different and if you're truly concerned talk to your doctor but she sounds fine to me!

Firstly, It is beneficial for children to crawl but many children do not crawl and are perfectly happy and healthy as they grow up. Secondly there are some things that you can do with your daughter to encourage her to crawl if you are concerned - although if you are concerned then visit her doctor and ask for a physical therapy/physiotherapy consult.
However, She has just learned to roll over so I don't think that you should be concerned. How is her sitting balance? She needs to be able to sit alone before she can crawl.

Children do reach developmental milestones in their own time and at their own pace, but as many people on this sight say, trust your instinct and follow up on it if you feel that there is something wrong.

Megan, they're all so different! Of my twin granddaughters, for example, one didn't crawl till she was about 14 months,(she had this sort of bum-shuffle going!) the other crawled when she was about 7 months. They're both running round everywhere now.

My daughter didn't crawl the traditional way, she scooted like a monkey.

Kati - Neither of my kids rolled till they were 11 months old and there's nothing wrong them. My son was premmie and was crawling at 7 months and walking at 11 months, my daughter went to 39 1/2 weeks and statring moving alot later so all kids do things when they are ready

some babies don't crawl at all, and skip it all together so it may be normal. however you mentioned she just learned to roll over? that seems awfully late to me. just to be sure i would maybe mention something to the doctor.

My daughter is a year old and doesnt crawl she pulls up and cruises along furniture. If she wants something she scoots around on her butt.

My daughter was 10 months before she crawled. She's now 18months and running round like there's no tomorrow.
I have known of adults that skipped crawling and went straight to walking and theres nothing wrong with them
