Hi,

I have 6 month age of son. He is not feed properly on day time. First 1 to 5 month, he fed properly on day and night time. But now he has not to do feed at that much. So, what should I do that he feed properly on day as well as night time.?
Give me some suggestions for this.

If he's not nursing as much she may need to pump to relieve the pressure a bit. Each of my twins around 5-6 months went on a weekend 'nursing strike' where they seemed to barely have any interest in nursing all day. Thankfully it only lasted about 2 days for each of them.

Baby could be teething, feeling sick, or reaching the age of distraction.

Here is some good advice: http://www.babycenter.com/0_engorged-bre...

Your wife should have been given information and resources when she was released from the hospital. If you think the baby is not latching on properly then maybe she needs to see a lactation nurse to help her. People think breast feeding is so simple and that it will just automatically happen but this is not the case. It can be really frustrating, painful, and a whole bunch of other emotions...in addition to being a new mom and possibly being told by other family member "you are doing it wrong". THAT IS NOT HELPFUL.

Does he cry? Is he otherwise healthy? It's normal for kids to eat a lot one day and less the next. From a veteran mom I can say if he looks healthy, has energy and is happy then try not to worry about it. Children's eating habits change when hitting a growth spurt and less when they are not hungry.

If you are worried or are concerned about his health and it's been more than a couple of days then seeing a doctor would be my advice. Always seek medical advice from the doctor as the main source for your child's health. Use the internet as a personal advice source. To see if other's have similar experiences.

Hope your little guy is doing well and best of luck.
