my son is now almost 8 months old, and he was sleeping through the night from 3 months on, and hes been sick twice, but now i can barelyget 4 hours of sleep a night, last night i got maybe 2 hours of sleep, and the night before i got about 3 hours, and it has been like this for a few weeks now, he wakes me up for feedings, but usually goes back to sleep, except last night he woke me up at around 1 am and didnt go back to sleep until about 6 am, so i was just wondering is this going to go on forever, or is it just a one time thing so to speak?, and is there anything i can do to help him sleep more?, ive tryed the bath thing, a more milk before bed, plus ive even tryed giving him cereal before bed, but nothing seems to help, so i guess wat im trying to ask is HELP ME PLZ!!!!, i need my sleep :(

He could be teething. Is he chewing on things more? If you think he is try putting some oragel on his gums and see if that helps. This will pass

Babies night wake for all sorts of reasons. Some of the most common is teething or a growth spurt. A lot of the time you'll never figure out the exact cause. My kids would sleep through the night for awhile and then night wake up to 5 times in one night for a month. It will pass.

Oh btw.. the cereal thing, is a big fat myth. He *may* not even be waking out of hunger. Although, around 9 months is a typical time for a growth spurt. But I usually assume my baby is pushing teeth when she night wakes.

Shhhh. Don't tell anyone. But when I can't get her back to sleep... I co sleep. ;)

My daughter started doing this around 8 months old and lasted a few weeks. It got progressively worse every night nothing helped, then a tooth popped through and she started sleeping through the night again!

I feel for you. It will get better. It is hard. I was in that same spot myself when he was teething.

Jennifer Is he drooling? Are there bumps on his gums where teeth might be coming in? Try giving Tylenol if he is teething. My son went through this. Teething is very uncomfortable and crying at night might be his only way to tell you.
