I dont want to take medication, I want to continue nursing and try to conceive again in the next month... any advise from others dealing with Ulcers, H pylori?
I am only 25 and have never had any stomach problems before.
Im hoping for an herbal remedy... just nervous to have the h pylori in my stomach being they say you have an increased chance of stomach cancer?
Anyone with similar issues?

Ok, first of all, h. pylori bacteria exist in 80% of human stomachs. It's when the bacteria get ramped up that you get symptoms and have to go on meds.

Have you even been to the doctor to get this checked out? And how old is LO?

Speaking from experience, I've found no herbal remedy for h. pylori. And the med regimen (while short lived) was 27 pills a day for 5 days the last time I had a bout with it. Now, that may have changed, since it's been a couple of years since my last run around. But, either way, I guess I'd rather get treatment than live in discomfort. If that meant weaning earlier than I'd initially planned, then that's what would happen.

Your health is foremost. If you don't take care of yourself, how are you going to take care of the LO that you have, and the one that you're planning? The quality of life will suffer...

Individuals with H. Pylori have only a 10-20% lifetime risk of developing peptic ulcers, and only a 1-2% risk of developing stomach cancer. Go to the doctor :-) You'll feel much better if you treat this, whether it's acid reflux, an ulcer, or h. pylori

If I were you I would wait to try to concieve until the health issues were sorted out more. H pilori can make you very ill if it gets out of hand. I have a church friend who was sick for 3 moths and repitatly hospitilized while dealing with it. take care of your health first. if it just an ulcer, perhaps from stress, you may want to wait till that heals up too. pregnancy nausea ans ulcers dont do well together. If your health is not well, then a new forming baby may have a harder time growing right inside you.

I have read nothing but horror stories about people taking antibiotics and it not going away.Or it does then it comes back a few months later. And most of the time people are prescribedthe prev pack which is 3 medicatons and its not working, since the bacteria is so resistent.
My doctor and I believe I have an ulcer right now. And he gave me some famitodine to help with the pain and ulcer, but I researched and told her I wanted the H pylori test. Now I am hoping my ulcer is a fluke and I do not have this H pylori.
I took the test today so hopefully I will know by Friday. I have been taking 1tbsp of Apple cider vinegar 3 times a day and using a ulcer diet of foods that are not suppose to be to hard on them, and I have been feeling good.

How many times have you had to deal with this?
Did you feel horrible taking the medication, after reading it sounds it is horrible for people to take.

My LO is 9months old almost 10 months. She doesnt take a bottle and I am stay at home mom so I have never pressed the issue being I want to breatfeed for a year.
We planning on trying for another next month... now I am wondering what is going to come of this ulcer... h pylori crap.

If i take medications and then after I end up pregnant, what if it comes back again while pregnant... or a month after birth and im nursing... I feel like it is going to never end.
