My 3-month old decided she likes the bottle better than breast. Her refusal came on very suddenly and I am heartbroken and devastated as I hoped to nurse at least 6 months. She arches her back, screams and cries when I bring her to my breast. I've tried everything from switching from bottle to boob when asleep, skin-to-skin, nipple shield, etc... I've spoken to the pediatrician, osteopath, and several lactation consultants. We can't figure what the reason is other than she is uncomfortable at the breast and likes the bottle better. I am now 4 days into pumping and not sure if I could pump exclusively as it is exhausting me to the brink.
Just wondering if any moms out there had a similar situation and how long it took before your babies came back to nursing.
