Nutramigen and Constipation???

Hey girls,

I was wondering if anyone else is having the same issue... My son was born with an allergy to cow's milk (didn't find out until he was a month) Doc puts him on nutramigen, It worked WONDERS on my son!!! He was taking naps longer than the 10-20 min i was used too! No more fussiness, No more staying up at night (all night by the way), Having normal bowel movements twice to three times a day, and he was the happiest baby ever!

Anyways he is now 7 months and dealing with EXTREME constipation which started at 6 months. I've tried prune juice, apple juice, thermometer with patroleum jelly, Nothing seems to work other than supositories(FLEET BRAND) but it is draining my pockets having to give him 2 sometimes 3 times a day. Is anyone else having this issue at all? He's not fussy other than when hes pushing after i give him the suppositories. He's still a happy baby but can get a little tense at times when its time to go #2... Any advise would be helpful at this time! Thanx Ladies!!!!

Honestly at 7 months I would be giving him much more fruit than just prunes. All fruit is good for nateral bms lol but anyways casterol oil lol id try fresh fruiy amd lots of grains...if shes not fussy I wouldn't 10 ur old has been like that the whole 10 yrs. I ever did anything unless she was hurting. I made.sure she had lots of fruits and brans and even can try. Make bran muffins...if he wont east raisen bran or bran cereal. If your too working on his bms always call ur doc thats what they're there for. But just feed good and see how often he goes alone. Try a glass of skim milk in stead of the formula. My same daughter did the same thing at 7 months had to start on milk...hope what i said helped :)
