Unfortunately , Nutramigen and Allimentrum are both expensive. Is there any chance you could provide breastmilk? Depending on how old the baby is, you may be able to re-lactate and at least ease some of the cost.
If you have letter from your doctor, you can use WIC coupons to buy nutramigen. Another option is to call the manufacturer and request samples. You might be able to get a few cans at least. You doctor may have some access to samples as well. Finally, you can call the hospital where you delivered and ask the nurses. Sometimes they know the representative from the company and can help hook you up with a supply.
