Hello, me and my husband are first time parents. We have had a VERY ruff 5 weeks with our new little guy. We started our breastfeeding but he was having a lot of issues with it and we went to formula. We started on Similac advance, we started to get extremely fussy and gassy, crying during and after feeds, sleeping very little. We then switch him to Similac partiality broken down protine. (From Canada) he continues to be SEVERALLY FUSSY. We have tried probiotic drops, gripe water, nothing helping He gags, arch his back, scream bloody murder acts like he's hungry but will then gag himself on the bottle. Our doctor diagnosed him with GERD on Monday at 4.5 weeks. We have bee giving him his meds 2 times a day and it seems to be making it worse. She said try the meds and old formula for 7 days and if no help switch to nutramigen as she believes he has milk protine allergie causing his sever upsetness.

I am looking for more reviews on this formula and if anyone has advice on how to get him to drink it if we have problems.

Hello dear,
I was just going to say my I went through the same thing with my son. I breast fed both girls but after all the different milks and doctors it turned out he had a protein allergy. Nutramigen was prescribed to him as well. Besides the expense and awful smell my son took to it very well. I gave it to him with just a little rice cereal which is better then oatmeal which increases the gas. I wish you all the best with your little one. Just know its nothing you did wrong and things will get better. Hope this was helpful.
