ok so my first dr app for my 3rd pregnancy i asked the nurse if she thought i might be able to already feel the baby kick cuz i was already 2 months along by then and i felt a twitch in my tummy every so often maybe only a couple of times then and she said probably not, probably not until your 4 months well this is my 3rd pregnancy and ive hurd before that after your first you are "more inturned" with what "real" kicks feel like well with my first pregnancy i didnt know i was pregnant until 7 to 8 months along so i dont really remember when those things actually started to happen so my second i kinda call my first one cuz i knew right from the start but now that this is my third i seem to be feelling a little more offten twitches in the lower part of my tummy im 3 months along now do you think that what i am feeling is the baby or no i really want to think it is but i just dont know what to think or believe the baby has probably doubled or tripled in size since my last dr app what do you guys think and i really want what you honestly think cuz i dont want to keep telling myself it is the baby if it isnt if you have had more than one pregnancy was it easier for you to feel the babies first kick the second or whatever number time?

You do feel it earlier because you are more in tune, but it isn't possible at 2 mo. The baby isn't big enough or heavy enough to even have flutters felt. I have delivered 6 children. Usually with the first, most don't feel the kicks until 16-20 weeks, mostly because they don't realize the early flutters are fetal movement. With later pregnancies, a women will notice the slight flutters at the end of the first trimester (12-13 weeks) are actually fetal movement as the baby gets to a weight where twitches can be felt.

I was really showing very early with my last pregnancy (baby belly at 8 wks), 5th pregnancy and carrying twins, but that is actually uterine growth, as well as the extra fluid we carry being pregnant. At 9 weeks, the baby is not even an inch long and weighs less than an ounce, so showing then in not the baby, but the growing uterus, etc. The babies are not big enough or of a substantial weight to have movement felt. It's just basic science, but by the end of the 3rd month, if you know what the flutters are, they are getting to the weight you should be able to feel that movement as flutters or twitches.

Obviously with everyones comments all pregnancies are different, I was 18 wks when I felt my first baby and with the second I was 16 wks. You've been pregnant before you know what a baby moving inside you feels like.lol

I felt both mine around 13 weeks. And they were definitely the baby because my stomach popped out a bit. Whether you can feel the baby early depends on a lot of things, like where your uterus is positioned, where the placenta is, how heavy you are, your body type, etc. I am very slender, so have been able to feel movement early on. Also, with the second my uterus is tilted back, so I think I probably would have been able to feel it earlier than my first if it had been tilted forward.

Seriously, don't listen to people who say it's impossible. It is, in fact, possible.

HI Stevie. I had my 3rd child almost a year ago, and I felt the same thing your describing. I wasn't as strong as when I was further along, but I felt my son move around, kind of like butterflies, sometimes a little stronger. I think it'sbecause you know what it feels like now, and know what to expect.

I am also on my third and felt like I could feel the baby earlier then my other two, at first i just figured it was gas until I went to my first doc app and he asked if I could feel the baby moving yet (I was about 3 months by then) he said that yes it is possible for some women to feel slight movement, especially with your second or third when you are anxious to feel that movement and are constantly looking to feel it. I say believe whatever you'd like, whether ppl tell you it's medically impossible or not it's your body and everyone is different!!! (and lets be honest I'd rather think it was a kick or movement rather then gas)

I started feeling my (first baby) daughter move about 14 weeks and my sister felt my nephew at 12 weeks and he was her second. Her first baby she didnt know she was expecting until she was 6 moths along. I hope this helps.

Well I have had 3 pregnancies as well and I felt the baby a little later in the pregnancy maybe around 3 to 4 months along ..they were large babies also. But, you may be feeling slight movements from the baby and even possible gas..hate to say it..but, when you are pregnant..gas bubbles may be the cause or hiccups from the baby too...it could be all of the above..but, if you aren't in pain and it is something enjoyable to feel the baby move or "think" that is what it is..there isn't a problem with that...hope that helps and congrats on the 3rd baby.

I am pregnant with my third child and I thought i felt movement earlier, but it may have just been gas cause he was so tiny at the time. I did show earlier, but definitely around 4.5 months I started to feel movement.

Quoting Christel :

No way you cant feel the baby kick earier than 4 months the baby is not even fromed yet until 3rd month and not even big enough Its just to small. Its all you thinking that you are feeling it because you want to feel the life inside you. Thats a good thing for you. My friend had two children and got pregant with her 3rd and never felt one movement through out the whole time she did not even know she was pregant until her water broke she told her husband that she was going to have a baby and begged him to take her to the hospital he refused. He did not believe her at all. He left to work. She had to wait for a ride she almost had the baby in her rides car. the baby was 3 weeks late.I think in this case she did not want any one to know about it I am not sure about it. Maybe you are having twins I heard if you are having twins you feel more stuff.

Everybody's body is different and it is possible. When I was laying on the table having an ultrasound at 8 weeks, the screen was pointing away from me and I was able to tell the technician when my little boy was bouncing up and down and she confirmed that I was right. Your sensitivity depends on your circulation and the strength of your nervous system and some of us are more sensitive than others. I have also heard stories about women not knowing about the pregnancy until the third trimester and it amazes me because I am able to see my stomach twitching because the kicks are so strong at 5 months and by the 7th month can see the babies bum stick out and slide across my tummy as it rolls over.

it also depends on how tone and slender you are. the more cushion the harder it is to feel the baby.

If you are only two months, there really isn't anything for the baby to kick with, you know? However, there is some weird stuff going on in your bowels (not to be gross) which mimic the feelings of a kicking little one. I never felt anything even with twins, til I was 6 months along, lol! I know some feel earlier, but as early as you are thinking, probably not.

I am on my second and I definately felt him earlier than I felt my daughter. My daughter was very active all throughout the pregnancy and my son is turning out to be too. I mentioned the feelings to my doctor and she said it was for sure possible once you've had a child before. She's had 3 kids herself so she should know. It's not really a kicking feeling though, more of a flutter because they use their muscles to bounce up and down in there. (I watched mine do it on an ultrasound at 8 weeks)

The nurse is right. I've had three kids and yes it does feel like a teeny tiny baby is moving but lets face it, the fetus was just to small to be felt. Heck I feel like a baby is kicking even these days and I am NOT pregnant and haven't been for 7 years. But everyonce in a while that odd fluttery, thump - well its a nice memory.

this is also my third pregnancy and i am also three months along. i think i feel the baby sometimes too or something in me kicking lol but on my first appointment with my doc i was only 9 weeks along and he did an ultrasound, pretty much the only thing that is there is a big blob and a heart, they dont have there arms or legs yet so i dont think it could be the baby

by all medical standards babies kicks aren't felt before 20 weeks. Thats regardless of the number of pregnancies you have. What you are feeling is probably hiccups or pockets of air that are moving around the amniotic sac.
It's not so much that you cant feel them it's more that they aren't formed enough to kick with the force needed to penetrate the resistance of the amniotic fluid that early. Remember the babies development rates and what comes first, what moves first ect.

At 2 months along the baby is not strong enough to kick hard enough for you to feel it through the fluid, adipose tissue, muscle and skin..

It could be ... I felt the kicking much earlier with my 3rd then with the first 2. I don't remember exactly when but I thought it was really early. Could it have anything to do with where the placenta is located and where the baby is sitting? Maybe? I don't know. I wouldn't be surprised if you were indeed feeling movement.

Iv only had one baby but i felt him flutter about when i was 12 weeks, i didnt even know i was pregnant till then lol, i suppose it's different for everybody and every pregnancy so the doctors can't really make any comments about when you should feel your baby, but if you have a big baby in there you probably will feel her more. I used to poke my tummy and talk to it (sad i know lol) and i found that my baby always responded with a kick or a somersault, you should try that and see what baby does and its kinda fun lol.
Good Luck with the rest of your pregnancy and hope baby is born healthy and beautiful : )
